In Person Event Updates

Live @ The KCT Update

You can still be a part of the show!

The much-anticipated return of our live in person performances in Kelowna has been put on hold, adding more pressure to an already stressed local arts and culture sector. In the wake of new Provincial regulations banning indoor gatherings such as live performances for up to 50 people, our series Live @ The KCT will be making significant changes and cancelling the in-person component of the already scheduled shows until at least after Dec 7, 2020.

We are extremely disappointed about the Province’s decision to extend the public gathering ban to events like Live @ The KCT. Sport activities and movie theatres are still allowed to continue, and yet innovative projects with comprehensive COVID protocols in place which are designed to support our local arts and entertainment sector are once again being undercut. Of course, we want to be responsible and help prevent the spread of the virus; our model sets out stringent COVID-19 Protocols designed to keep staff, attendees and performers safe. This is just one more hurdle in a frustrating exercise to put artists back to work and provide live entertainment for the public.

Our hope is that the public will tune into the live streams. We continue to roll with the punches and are really doing everything we can to provide much needed live entertainment and pay artists in our community.

Live @ The KCT is sponsored by New Country 100.7 and Kelowna’s Classic Rock K96.3.

Be a Part of the Show

Just as live sporting events feature "fans" in the audience, we'd like to create a similar experience for the arts. Your cut-outs can be of yourself, loved ones -- heck even pets can be done. This will help the theatre feel like a more full event when small audiences are allowed to return.

Each seat purchase purchase includes:

  • Personalized 18" x 30" coroplast (plastic) cut-out attached to the seat of your choice.
  • 3 months of free streaming on Unicorns.LIVE (approx. $28 CAD value); this will include access to ALL Live @ the KCT shows during those same 90 days. Watch the live streams on your TV with our AppleTV, RokuTV, FireTV and Andriod TV apps.
  • 20% off all in-person Live @ the KCT tickets to the end of March 31, 2021.
  • The ability to take your coroplast cut-out home starting in April 2020.
  • Inclusion in live stream shows. Video will cut to the audience at appropriate times during the performances and show off all the faces.
